Why Traditional Coaching Leaves us Burnt Out

For many neurodivergent folks, traditional coaching — full of face to face live calls, deadlines, toxic positivity, unrealistic expectations, and constant feedback loops — becomes another demand on an already stretched system.

We don’t need more pressure. We need gentler consistency, flexible communication, and support that actually fits our nervous systems and capacity.

This Is For You If

  • You're in Phase 3, 4, or 5 burnout and need individualized support

  • Traditional coaching with video calls feels impossible right now

  • You have PDA traits and need autonomy + gentle accountability

  • You need flexibility that honors your fluctuating capacity

  • You have complex medical layers (POTS, hEDS, MCAS, PMDD) compounding your burnout

  • You've tried the Roadmap but need help troubleshooting what's not working

  • You're ready to invest in recovery but need guidance tailored to YOUR specific pattern

  • You want to work with someone who understands both the neurology AND the lived experience

Structure — without the pressure

I practice a neuro-affirming coaching model that gives you both autonomy and gentle accountability.

You’ll receive a weekly check-in from me with simple reflection prompts tied to your goals. You reply when you can — in your time.

Between check-ins, you’re welcome to share your process, challenges, or wins in real time — moments of insight, stuckness, or growth as they happen.

This allows coaching to support you
as life unfolds, not just once a week on schedule.

You’ll also receive personalized support and tailored guidance directly from me — through text and voice notes for quick reflections, and more in-depth responses via email when deeper exploration is needed.

All of this happens in a way that honours and accommodates your neurodivergent communication needs — making space for pauses, tangents, processing time, and the way your brain naturally expresses itself.

Together, we keep momentum alive — not through force, but through trust, responsiveness, and gentle consistency.

Why this works

Because it meets you where you are — your energy, your cycles, your needs. It provides structure when executive function falters, and space when overwhelm hits.

If you’re anything like me, and you have any PDA in your spiky profile, you’ll understand how even things designed to help can feel like a massive demand on the system.

For many autistic-heavy AuDHDers, showing up face-to-face can trigger old trauma patterns — masking, fawning, and survival responses that make it hard to access your authentic self.

And yet, safe unmasking is essential for true burnout recovery. That’s why this model removes the performance layer entirely. You can message in your own time, without needing to manage facial expressions, tone, or social energy. You get to be real, raw, quiet, wordy — whatever you need in the moment.

Being able to reply when it works for you — while still receiving personalized, targeted coaching between check-ins — creates the balance of flexibility and structure that PDA and AuDHD brains thrive on.

Autonomy and safety aren’t extras here; they’re the foundation. This is how real recovery begins — through unmasking that feels safe, supported, and sustainable.

A note from me...

I built this space after burning out through every “high-performance” and "healing" system that was supposed to help me.

Again and again, I found myself inside coaching containers that didn’t
understand AuDHD burnout — or make accommodations for it.

I was paying for sessions I was too depleted to attend, feeling guilty for not showing up, or showing up and masking my way through, feeling more depleted after - the opposite of what I was trying to achieve!

And the thing is — I really needed help. The support I was getting wasn’t bad; it just wasn’t neuroaffirming. It kept missing the mark in ways I couldn’t name back then. Now I understand why.

And I get it — this is just how most of the coaching industry runs.

But I kept thinking,
what would have actually helped me when I was in that place?

This coaching model is my answer to that question.

It’s designed to be sustainable, flexible, and neuroaffirming — so you don’t have to choose between support and survival.

How I Can Help You

This isn’t surface-level “self-care” coaching.
I don’t hand out generic recovery tips or mindset hacks — we go deeper than that.

As a trained life coach, and a facilitator of yoga, meditation, Parts Work, inner child, and embodiment practices, I help you reconnect with the parts of you that have been running in survival mode for too long.

When it’s needed, I’ll send you
personalized somatic check-ins — gentle, body-based prompts designed to help you regulate, ground, and integrate what’s coming up in your system.

The best part?

You can explore these practices
in your own time, when your body feels ready — not in a live session where you might freeze up or feel like you need to perform healing (something I did for years).

Because real healing doesn’t happen on command. It happens when your body feels safe enough to participate.

This model gives you that safety — practices you can return to again and again, at your pace, in your rhythm.

It’s not about performing recovery; it’s about
embodying it.

TESTIMONIALS

Client Experiences

While these clients worked with me in face-to-face sessions (before I developed my async model), the core work hasn't changed—somatic practices, inner child healing, Parts Work, and building safety in your nervous system. What's different now is the delivery: text, email and voice-note-based support that removes performance pressure and meets you where your capacity actually is.

"I feel more trust in myself"

"Working with Nicole, I learned to tap into my body and process my emotions. Her somatic guidance helped me unlock parts of myself I'd been avoiding. The anxiety and depression I experienced before have lifted. Now I have the tools to support myself, and I feel genuinely happy and trusting of myself again."

-Malin G., 32

"There's more playfulness and joy in my life"

"Nicole helped me reconnect with fragmented parts of myself and rebuild self-trust. Through her guidance, I learned to give my inner child the love I needed. Now my life has more playfulness, joy, and expression—and I have tools I can use every day to return to that sense of wholeness."

- Ellie R., 23

"Support even on bedbound days"

"Nicole is the first coach who understood that my burnout wasn't just AuDHD—it was POTS, hEDS, and MCAS compounding everything. The fact that I could message her when I was bedbound and work through things at my own pace made this actually sustainable. She helped me see patterns I'd been missing for years and gave me tools that work even on my worst days. I'm not recovered, but I'm functioning again—and that's everything."

— Riley M., 41

"No Masking Required"

"I didn't realize how exhausted I was from maintaining all these versions of myself until Nicole helped me unpack my identity load. The async format meant I could be honest without worrying about how I looked or sounded. No masking required. We did deep Parts Work through voice notes and emails, and I finally started reconnecting with who I actually am beneath all the performance. It's been life-changing."

— Casey T., 36

Frequently Asked Questions

How is this different from the Roadmap?

The Roadmap gives you the framework and tools. Coaching gives you personalized application, real-time troubleshooting, and accountability. Think of it this way: the Roadmap is the map; coaching is having a guide who knows the terrain.

Do I need to have purchased the Roadmap first?

No, but it's helpful. If you haven't, I'll send you the Roadmap as part of onboarding so we're working from the same framework.

How quickly do you respond?

Within 48-72 hours on weekdays. Usually quicker - within 24 hours. If you message on Saturday, you'll hear from me Monday. True emergencies should go to 988 or emergency services—this isn't crisis intervention.

What if I can't afford $1,000/month?

I offer a limited number of sliding scale spots. Mention this in your waitlist application and we'll discuss what's possible.

Can I do this if I'm working full-time?

Yes. That's the beauty of async—you engage when you have capacity. No need to carve out "coaching time" in your schedule.

What if I need to pause or cancel?

Life happens. Give me 14 days notice and we'll pause or end coaching—no hard feelings, no guilt.

Is this therapy?

No. I'm a coach, not a therapist. This is educational support and accountability—not mental health treatment. I encourage you to work with a therapist alongside coaching if you need clinical support.

What if I'm in Crisis Burnout?

You can still apply, but I'll be honest in our intake about whether coaching is the right fit right now or if you need more intensive clinical support first. I can help point you in the right direction to access suitable supports.

I keep my caseload intentionally small to give each person the attention they need.

No pressure. No obligation. Just let me know you're interested and I'll be in touch when the timing is right.
